Girls Game Too!
Have you ever joined in a conversation about video games just to be told you don't know anything about gaming because you're a girl? If you have, then you've come to the right place. Welcome to your safe space to discuss video games, pc specs, console wars, and even more. As a female in a male-dominated industry, it can be incredibly exhausting trying to find good people to make a genuine connection with due to the sexism that exists in virtual worlds. This is the exact reason I created this blog; to have a community of like-minded, intelligent, powerhouse gaming women!
I've heard every joke in the book from, "Why are you on a video game and not in the kitchen?" to "You just sound fat." So, when the constant jeering and snide comments just became too much, I decided I would search for a group of people I felt safe and comfortable with. In order to do this I have to be a little bit vulnerable and lay a bit of information about myself out.
I'm a college student using gaming as a way to cope with stress as well as find new friends online. I am living proof that you can find great people via gaming as long as you stick with it and don't let anyone treat you negatively. I met my boyfriend on a video game, met in person five months later, and then the rest was history! Now, this blog isn't going to be a concoction of my personal life, but I feel it's important that I share my successes with you.
This blog will contain posts pertaining to new games coming out, console upgrades and next-generation information, streaming updates (find my twitch here), tips and tricks on how to level up, and so much more! I look forward to updating content and making so many new friends through this blog!

While I acknowledge I am not your target audience, I really look forward to seeing more of your posts. Due to the Pandemic, I have been gaming more than I used to. Additionally, I have been gaming with my girlfriend. I am taking her on a journey through my childhood via games. Am really enjoying the connections it is allowing us to have. Looking forward to many years of gaming with her!
ReplyDeleteLike Max mentioned, I also am not your target audience. However, I find your blog to be very interesting. I have been a gamer on and off my whole life. I am sorry you have to deal with toxicity online. I am looking forward to seeing more of your posts.
